Our Dig-a-Wells cost £660. They are mechanical hand pumps that draw water from up to 40 metres beneath the ground, making them dependable during all seasons. We usually construct and build them in a communal place such as a village centre or a school so up to 30 families can benefit from these wells.

The countries that we run this scheme in are:

• Mali
• Niger
• Pakistan
• Senegal
• Sri Lanka
• Where Most Needed (from the above countries)

Since locations are determined by our Country Offices, we cannot request a specific location for your well to be constructed unfortunately.

All of our water projects come with the option to have a plaque with a name installed. Any message (name of a late relative, donor’s name or donor’s family name) can be added with a 30 character limit. If more characters are requested, please email us with your request.

Upon completion (approx. 9-12 months after date of donation) you will receive a feedback report detailing how many families are benefitting from the community water well, location of the well and feedback photos. A copy will be provided via email and/or post.
